Don't understand the hate, the quality of the records is good, no dirt, no pops. It.also sounds pretty fine to me. No regrets buying it!

Not a good sound overall, probably because these have not been remixed since first issue. Mine (bought Nov 24) weighed in at only 140 grams per record, yet all the markings are as per the 180 grams above, including the runouts.

Always interesting to see the love/hate contrast in the comments below. I read these a lot before I buy an album. In this instance I’m glad I bought the album as on my system (Rega P10 / Aura phono, kw550 enhanced amp into B&w 803D3 with 2 x Rel T9x subs) it sounds good, great bass, good separation and vocals are clear. When compared to the iron maiden Reissue I bought last week (which are a bit dull in mastering contrast), this is a solid album and worth the listen.

The 'loudness wars' wins again.... I think this 2016 vinyl release sounds terrible. I've no idea if earlier editions sounded the same or not, but this is loud and has zero dynamic. I and my partner also noticed the bass completely disappeared in some tracks leaving them sounding like a CD. The deeper thump of the kick was just absent on some tracks and noticing it detracted from our enjoyment. I now wonder why I buy expensive new release vinyl when the sound is just like a CD? This vinyl sounds so digital, it doesn't sound like vinyl to me. It really does sound like a CD, being lifeless, thin and heavily compressed (in a CD sounding way). It just doesn't sound like vinyl. My copy plays dead silent and clean, but that only adds to the feeling I'm listening to a CD pressed directly onto vinyl. The mastering is noticeably different between songs. Some songs have more bass whereas others have their balls lopped off and sound thin and heavily compressed... like a CD. I really am disenchanted with new release vinyl, the originals are just better in every way: even down to the cardboard stock used to press and print the cover art. Everything now looks like a scan of artwork reprinted... I should have saved my money and just ed this album.

My copy has something that looks like small white piece of paper melted into black vinyl but it plays OK on that.

If you like ELO's music, and who could possibly not like ELO's music, you need this record. It's got everything! I could listen to this album over and over and over. When I first got the record I listened to it, just to make sure there was nothing critically wrong with it, and then I shelved with the rest of my collection until the next time. Every time I sat in my music room listening to some album, I would see "All Over The World" sitting on the shelf. And I know that I was just savoring the moment that was bound to come. And that moment was today. I'm playing it for the third time through, this sitting. How sweet it is!!

Started listening and stoped after 1.5 songs. I was expecting better sounding record. Don’t get me wrong I love ELO but this record sound quality starts very mediocre. I’ll give some more tracks a chance before I’ll put in the archive. Probably should have gone for the OG…..

Electric Light Orchestra - All Over The World
                  ————————————
The Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1970 by songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood with drummer Bev Bevan. Their music is characterised by a fusion of Beatlesque pop, classical arrangements and futuristic iconography. After Wood's departure in 1972, Lynne became the band's sole leader, arranging and producing every album while writing nearly all of their original material. For their initial tenure, Lynne, Bevan and keyboardist Richard Tandy were the group's only consistent .

All Over the World: The Very Best of Electric Light Orchestra is a compilation album by the Electric Light Orchestra, released in 2005. Originally released exclusively in the band's home market (the UK), the album sold very well, becoming the ELO's first Top Ten entry since Dino Record's compilation album The Very Best of the Electric Light Orchestra hit number 4 in 1994. All Over the World sold over 300,000 copies in the UK alone within a year and a half of its release.

ELO is an amazing rock band with some amazing albums out there, is album is very good with only one problem, the master isn't the best. I love 'Mr Blue Sky' and 'Evil Woman' however when it comes to the track 'Don't Bring Me Down' it is one of the few rare cases where I prefer the remaster over the original. To me at least the original sounds a bit too 'live' which I think is something the remaster covers quite well. that is not to say I don't enjoy listening to this album as it has some great energetic songs on it.

Sounds absolutely fantastic. The mastering is on point and very vibrant with a lot of punch. Perfect for this type of music. The pressing is top notch and no surface noise nor clicks or pops were noticed by me during play. And for those confused about the remakes of these songs, this compilation includes the original versions as far as I can tell. Even the inner sleeves are lined with plastic. I really am hard pressed to find anything to even not pick about. The only possibly strange design choice is not including the record side tracks on the label. Still, you can just look on the back of the jacket sleeve. Near flawless release!
