The song Bring Me To Life by Evanescence, which means disappearance or blurring, was found on the soundtrack for the action movie Daredevil. For a long time in the Netherlands only the alternative radio station that the number and turned it to Theme From Whooping appointed. Only weeks later followed other radio stations as Radio 3FM and Radio 538, which respectively to Megahit and Alarm disc made and the song was a big hit at the end of the day. The special feature of this number, whereby three different radio stations, each with its own target audience, so much attention to spent, was the combination of nu-metal (the raps by guest vocalist Paul McCoy of rock band 12 Stones) and gothic (singer Amy Lee), two popular metal genres. On the debut album Fallen is mainly gothic, with strings, choir singing, electronics and piano playing to the metal basis a dark and mysterious flavour. With that addition, also known as the darkness falls again, because Evanescence also has a Christian element, such as can be heard in Tourniquet. Fallen is an attractive and accessible debut, that above all thanks to the vocals of Amy Lee manages to transcend the average metal plate.
