Just to clarify - this version does spin at 45 rpm?

I have to say that I haven't compared this pressing to the 12" version, but Graham Maby's bass sounds incredible on the 2x10 release.
It is full, growly and deep; it has it all. It is the lead instrument on the record a la John Entwistle.
It sounds like you are in the same room with him.

Joe Jackson begins here. With the release of 'Is She Really Going Out With Him?,' Jackson stepped to forefront in the public eye before (and probably still stronger than) his predecessors-in-style, Graham Parker and Elvis Costello. With the same acerbic wit and brilliant ear for a beautiful pop composition, but with hands on the piano rather than a guitar, Jackson was able to carve out his own little niche in the market. This album (split here, inexplicably, onto two 10-inchers) fully justifies the position and leaves an audience wanting more. From the hard-hitting blast of opener 'One More Time,' through the unforgettable aforementioned single and outsider-looking-in gems like 'Happy Loving Couples' and 'Pretty Girls' to one-two finish of the contemplative and bitter 'Fools in Love' then high-impact 'Got the Time' (a fitting counterpart to the opener), this is a prime example of this school of not-quite-so-angry young men singer/songwriters.
