My favorite album. I could give a big analytic study on this, but just by listening to this, you know it's a masterpiece. Mixing, track order, everything is perfect. 5 stars.

I love finding out who performs on an album. I did not know the following ed Quincy on this album:
      Patti Austin
      Steve Lukather
      Herbie Hancock
      James Ingram
      Stevie Wonder
      Toots Thielemans
      Michael Jackson and many more.
The Dude, Quincy, is the Man!

The Dude deserves to be a top valued album. It is in the top 3 of Quincy Jones' albums and some rate it the #1. It is dating well in comparison to many of his peers and the production is really good - this is a good sounding album. With lead and backing vocalists including Patti Austin, Michael Jackson and James Ingram you know this has got quality all over. One to look out for.
