Reviewing every record in my collection:

For anyone's interest, I own a copy of this argentinian pressing, and though I got nothing to compare it to really as I don't own any other issue from any other part of the world, I dare to say that this pressing is a bit lackluster for me. I think that the problem is that it sounds quite "Airy" as in it sounds like if you were listening in a room with a lot of eco. Still, is a good pressing.

I bought an used copy from the 80s, it sounds great though it skips a little on Wow. I haven't heard much from Kate when I bought it but it seemed like a nice way to be introduced to her music. Boy I'm glad it got it: some on the tunes on this compilation sound completely relevant even today. The rhythm on The Dreaming sounds like something Boards of Canada could have made for Geogaddi; Babooshka and Cloudbusting are such good songs to sing to, the reworking on Wuthering Heights is superior to the original recording (in my opinion of course), the sonic world on Army Dreamers is simply amazing. I don't dig every track (I wish Sit on my Lap would leave my life, and Breathing sounds boring to me), but this compilation succeeds in showing how varied her sound used to be. It's difficult not to become a fan after hearing this.
