If you compare this release to the select tracks that the Voyager compilation has, the Voyager tracks of the Sleep album sound way better, sound stage is great and it sounds very clear. This transparent From Sleep Album doesn’t sound terrible but it does have some dampness to the sound and the volume is a bit low. My copy has minor pops here and there, nothing crazy. Overall still glad to own this release.

I was worried when I opened it to see a clear pressing - But it's by far the quiet and beautiful sounding clear LP I've ever heard. 100% Audiophile quality. I'm floored by the high quality. Buy this immediately if you were on the fence.

Edited 4 years agoGuess I lucked out with my transparent copy. No apparent surface noise or cracks and pops. Audio fidelity is all there. Back of the album has a "Made in " sticker over the shrink wrap if this info helps.

Edited 4 months agoThe clear vinyl version sounds not more than VG after several (maybe 5) plays, as does every clear vinyl record.
Furthermore I find considerable low frequency rumbling noise in the beginning of Side A and B. An obvious mispress.
Not enjoyable at all. -

No real issue with pops and crackles on mine, no more than any other record that isn't trashed or obviously badly pressed. I'm guessing it's a luck of the draw thing with the transparent vinyl.
