Edited 6 days agoBelieve the hype: this sounds AMAZING. No surface noise, warm and deep bass. Indeed sounds better than the Hi-Res version on streaming platforms, although not a huge leap either.
It did came with a non negligible amount of static, despite the polylined inner.
Honestly if the OG is really way better than this, it must be MASSIVE, because this is so so good.
And I’m the annoying audiophile type.
Btw, mine came with other matrix variants and without the "Back to Black" sticker. -
Great quality pressing, but the OG sounds way better. The OG sounds natural and has a wider soundstage

Edited 10 months agoThis is one of my favorite albums of all time and this pressing really does it justice! Defenitly the best way to enjoy Voodoo. Incredibly silent and dynamic.
Pressing: 5/5
Packaging: 3/5 (Records in poly lined sleeves but the insert is in black and white and lacks in image quality, plus no gatefold☹️. The cover is in nice quality)
Edit: This is the best sounding record in my collection -
I’m happy with this 2 LP black vinyl 180 gram set. Flat with very little surface noise. Soundstage is exceptional with lots of bass. The set came in poly lined inner sleeves and an insert with pictures and extra tiny font (hard to read!). I really wish this pressing was presented in a gatefold cover. The single slot cover housing the LPs seems cheap. Very unfortunate for such an important project.

Sounds really good but I'm not blown away like other people in the comments. This album was recorded analogicaly and I don't feel that rawness in the Vinyl, actually Black Messiah sounds Better than this, that's really one of the BEST sounding vinyls I have.

Oh wow! One of my best sounding vinyls (out of 800 vinyls including many audiophile releases). I got it from a local store but this has been oop for a long time now.
Gear: MoFi Ultradeck, 740ML, Heed Elixir, ProAc Studio 100. -

Absolutely incredible sounding pressing -- surprising, given that it comes from GZ (who is plagued with horrible QC issues, so your mileage may vary). My copy came out of the shrink super glossy, flat as it could be, very clean, pressed dead on-center, no noise whatsoever, deep rich detailed bass and sparkly treble. Sounds better than the 24/96kHz digital lossless I've heard. Snag this if you can get your hands on a copy.

Edited 3 years agopressing is amazing.Quiet, rich bass - could easily say this is one of the best albums I've owned on vinyl, along with Black Messiah.
