Unfortunately the tracks towards the end of each side are incredibly sibilant, to the point it’s quite distracting while listening. And even more unfortunate that means it affects a couple of key tracks like Everything and Not Gon Cry.

Edited 3 years agoI am totally happy to be contradicted, but I have never heard a copy of this album (and I have heard 6 copies of it) which does not have a manufacturing flaw on side 4 between tracks 1 and 2. At the end of "Searching" and the start of "Our Love" there is a weird, crunchy, flickery sound. There is nothing wrong with the disc as far as I can see; it is either the recording itself or it was an imperfection in the stamper. Either way, it is an annoying flaw on what is, in my opinion, Mary J Blige's greatest album. This is, for me, her "all killer, no filler" album (although "My Life" comes close too). Not Gon' Cry, Share My World, I Can Love You, Love is All We Need, the list just goes on and on. Superb LP but would love to hear if anyone else has found that flaw. I can't be the only one!
