This is probably the best sounding clear vinyl I have in my collection. The pressing is detailed flat and quiet. Definitely how an undyed vinyl pressing should sound. No issues with pops either.
Would recommend this version highly and add that this is top 3 beach house albums for me. Right there with thank your lucky stars and bloom. -
Well- what can one say about Beach House? I have been a fan ever since "Teen Dream" came out. This is their fifth album and I have read some reviews that leave me wondering if they were listening to the same album I was listening to.
This is a beautifully lush album... And yes it is slow moving. Like the waves lazily lapping up on the ocean shore on a sunny afternoon...as the water shimmer diamonds...
So yes- while it doesn't have the energy that "Bloom" had or the quirkiness and diversity of "Teen Dream," it is a beautiful album.
"Sparks" was the first single off of the album and it sounded like some restrained shoegaze song. When it came out I was thinking that they had changed their sound on the new album. Thankfully when I heard the album, I was happily surprised that the lushness and beauty had not gone away.

Honestly this is my favorite album of theirs (the CD stayed in my car for about 2 years straight no joke) and this particular pressing looks and sounds beautiful. Very clean pressing and the fuzzy jacket is a nice bonus.

I really didn't connect with this one. It's like AM radio. If you're looking for music to help you relax while you take a warm bath. I confess I bought it for the novel cover, but its not a keeper for me.

Beyond Love is now in my Top 10 Songs of All-Time. My vinyl's quality was fine, minus the occasional pop.

Ordered two copies. One of them had a terribly loud popping sound every 1-2 seconds on most of Side A that made the record unlistenable. The other copy was better but still had audible pops and crackles for much of Side A and some of Side B. This is a fantastic album, it's a shame that this pressing was such poor quality.

good album, but its noisy and skipped twice during "sparks" i'm losing faith in these colored vinyl pressings

Anyone else have slight blue streaks on their copy? I've got just very small streaks of blue, and a tiny bit of black.
