Edited 5 months agoBought the double cd when released. Sounded good for 30 odd years . This is my first vinyl copy, and it sounds good to me . It definitely needs volume. The intro is shorter, and I think High voltage is longer . , The cannons at the end sound epic , much better than the cd . Bonny is missing before Highway to Hell, which is inexcusable . The big tribute to the previous singer and their hometown and not including it just kills the album .
Maybe a triple record would make this a real treat for fans -
I think this pressing is okay but sounds much like the CD version. Compared to the original press it doesn't hit the spot. My original press sounds like they're in the room. The vocals are a little louder on this press but it doesn't seem to blend as well. Go for the original!!

For what it is, a faithful reissue of a pressing intended for collectors and not for listening, it isn't horrible. The bass is lacking but I've heard much worse. This needs to be re done as a 3 or 4 disc set with the full cd tracklist, preferably with all stage banter restored and no fades except at side ends.
