Not a very impressive release (as written above: no insert or gatefold), but the most important thing is that this wonderful album sounds very good.
-
Good pressing. Reissue has a great and complex soundstage that i really enjoy !!! Cheap but decent packaging. I miss a little bit the gatefold of the original pressings but it’s not a big problem for me.

Edited 2 years agoI neither love nor hate the Fall... yet!! I got baited by Mark E. Smith's Pavement diss stating that they sound like a carbon copy of the Fall during this era. I do disagree with his assessment, but through investigation I discovered this ripper album and for that I am grateful! Was very happy to get a great sounding copy of it on the cheap. Packaging is a bit underwhelming though I must say.. As fearandwhiskey stated, a gatefold would have been lovely.
EDIT 24/03/23, I love the Fall and they are the best group ever and Mark E. Smith is God -
If you don't care about the packaging and are getting it strictly for the sound and music, you will not be disappointed. Sounds crisp, live, dynamic and solid on the lows. Like you're hanging out in the studio when they were recording it!

It does sound fantastic. Wish they would have replicated the original gatefold jacket, though. Seems like a missed opportunity with the last great album from the early Fall period.

Sound is really nice. About as good as you could expect from The Fall. Flat, quiet and dynamic remaster
