Notes
This volume contains a new translation, of eleven works by Various Artists. Through video, Søretooth contrasts the paradoxes of music with noise and modern unmusical thinking.
Published in 2006 this DVD varies in tone and substance from other works so attributed, but it is dialectically related to them, as well as other works. A note by Kierkegaard suggests how he might have finished the work: "Music is conquered not by the system but by noise, just as it is noise that has brought music into the world."
Søretooth is the former director of the Unmusical Library at St. Olaf College and General Editor of Unmusical Writings.
