Звук великолепный ))) Чистый , четкий , пробивной и размазывающий ) но.... на стороне d мертвая зона между d3 и d4 которая оказалась бесконечной , пока сам не переставишь иглу . 4/5
The sound is great))) Clean , crisp , punchy and smearing ) but.... on the d side , there 's a dead zone between d3 and d4 that turns out to be endless until you move the needle yourself . 4/5 -
I think I have an unlisted repress because I do not have a locked groove. My copy is from Barnes & Noble and all the IDs and notes match this release. It also sounds just as great as everyone here has described.

So are we just gonna ignore that most of the songs in this album were presets from some kids toys instrument???

Edited 8 months agoThis album is pure genius. Every track is a proper picture that speaks for itself making this one of the most diverse yet cohesive albums I ever heard. Albums like this are the reason why I love this band so much.
Astonishing sound quality, insane production, great mastering and really well-made packaging. This is a record that every music lover should own. -
With currently over 40 albums in my collection and a number of them I hold very highly and may sound better overall from a depth and production perspective, none are as quiet and clean as this vinyl. I don't know what magic they worked on this but there is basically zero noise even between tracks. Impressive.

Is there a pressing between the original in 2001 and 2015? I got a copy in 2012 which I am sure isn't the original.
-
Not too sure if anyone else has this for this particular version, but the label (on the vinyl) is mismatched: the 'C' label is mistakenly on the 'D' side, and vise versa (D label on side C). Sound-wise, it's great.

Parlophone should give a masterclass on consistent, near-perfect QC standards for ordering their vinyl pressings.

Just bought this up a couple of days ago from Barnes and Noble. Paid 30$ for it. Originally, I thought it was a newer release. Once I got home, I later found out it was released in 2015. I was surprised Barnes and Noble still had this on their shelves. Needless to say, this album sounds amazing. Flat, no pops, and super clear. Definitely a good buy. 5/5

Fun fact: I have NEVER heard this album until I got into the Gorillaz fandom. This album is such an iconic debut from the virtual band because in some songs, for example Man research (clapper) and 19-2000, it shows their experimental side, while in other songs, such as New genious (brother), Clint eastwood, Latin simone (que pasa contigo) and Slow country, it shows their slow tempo and relaxed side. This is what I like about Gorillaz. They have two different sides that are well represented on this album. Which is great. This album is a solid 10/10.
