Even better than the first I.F, in the same vein but more polished and focused without a single dull moment. This release attacks your brain in an extremely pleasant way. One of the Fax highlights.

Just listening to this, and wow, great album. "Underwater" is as dark a track as I first hearing 20 years ago. Great stuff, though no idea what is going on in the last two minutes, it doesn't fit. Then there's Dub 2, one of the best Fax tracks I've ever heard. The section that starts around 9:50 is just spine-tingling. I would use that track to test classroom audio systems at the university where I worked back then. Just great. Seems this could be a good vinyl reissue as the track lengths are perfect for that.

Edited 5 years agoThis second collaboration is really nice, although I prefer the first (and more pricey) CD by them as it's densely packed with sounds and little bit more psychedelic and weird but beautiful at the same time. Here the sound is more open and drum machine driven with lots of space in the mix.

"professional arrangements" really ? That's the critera for how you judge good music ?!? This stuff is way too introspective for it's own good...there is always an element of fear I have when listening to this kind of ambient material, the fear that I might never venture outside again, that I may just stay in this beautifull room with it's curtains closed, with my headphones on.....forever.......

I would love to hear this release in full but alas I missed it (and also the first I.F.) upon release and purchase requires deep pockets. Here's hoping it may get a re-release one day (with differential artwork to keep the collectors happy). It gets my vote for best Fax artwork as well.
