I found this extreme rarity in a local music shop in my home city, Zagreb, for a fraction of what it's worth. The shop owner most probably thought how this was just another run of the mill edition of this masterpiece. Actually, due to the OBI strip, he was probably eager to get rid of it as soon as possible.
Well, what you get here is more than any sum of money can buy, especially if you're a Pink Floyd fan; this is the finest, most accurate, rich in texture and pleasing to the most demanding ear remaster of what is, in my humble opinion, Pink Floyd's magnum opus. No need to analyze the tracks, as fans are more than well acquainted with them, but this gem merits world wide distribution!
Having the original 1975 vinyl nowadays must be considered an ultimate collectors item, but this is eventually bound to exceed its value. This sounds fantastic production wise, and not just are the production vaults impressive, this is some of the greatest music ever recorded, regardless of the genre, and it's all digitally improved and enriched, while staying faithfully true to the original testament to one of the greatest groups in rock history.
It's a shame though that this release is unusually scarse, and the chances of one running into it anywhere but Japan is equal to zero. But if you do, by any means purchase it, no matter the price- this one is really, but really worth it!
