After a silence of eight years, in which there are no new work by her appeared, came back strongly in 2000 with the album Sade Lovers Rock. A typical Sadeplaat, though there was a slight shift in where to taking the quasi-jazz from her debut Diamond Life, to a more gitaargeoriënteerd sound. Her fans were found her not to have forgotten the album took out good sales figures in the United States, after which an extremely successful tour followed. Lovers Live is the registration of this row. Many of her old hits come over, such as Smooth Operator and Sweetest Taboo, as well as her last hit By Your Side. Note for note the songs acted out by the plate versions, so to hear much to the delight of the public. You can however, you wonder what the added value of these live versions, especially if you notes that the vocals of Sade too often to the false side. At the music of Sade set your a chic night club for, instead of a Hall with thousands of screaming fans. Lovers Live is a nice souvenir for visitors to its concerts, but not more.
