I have a promo copy of this record and one side or the label has been covered over in black marker pen , it was my own personal copy and I don't ever do this myself . I wondered if perhaps there was a misprint label on one side and the record company did this before mailing them out ? anyone else seen a copy like this ?

Two extremes on this 12", "Sound Of Eden" big uplifting vocal house track, and the hard hitting "Armageddon" with its huge dirty synth rifts, again another big track, both part of the soundtrack of the early 90's.

Armageddon main riff was sampled by Kevin saunderson which says it all.
The intro was from an Enid Blyton storybook.

It's all about the mind-bending nuttiness of Armageddon. Although undoubtedly a well produced and popular commercial rave track, The Sound of Eden is a creepy stalker song if you stand back and think about it with any sense of objectivity.

I always wondered who the vocalists are? Anyone know or am I being a bit slack here after all these years!

Sound Of Eden samples the acapella from Vicky Martin - Not Gonna Do It

This in my opinion is one of the finest hardcore/house records of the 90's. The lyrics are spot on and have a meaning. The piano is catchy and uplifting. Ok it's not got the depth of other records but it's pure and a timeless classic.

I want a copy of the sound of Eden. Still sounds like the perfect summer time hardcore/house crossover anthem to this day. Its mellow and smooth and has catchy lyrics. One of 1991's finest records.

I read in a magazine that the guys from shades of rhythm were eating in a cafe and looking for somebody to sing vocals on a track and asked there waitress who said she would do it and that's apparently her on the track
