First listen after 20 odd years and to me this LP reminds me of Luke Slaters 7th Plain - My Yellow Wise Rug, which is an incredible piece of music. Similar sounds, atmospherics, they must have used the same equipment that year. What a find I had totally forgotten I had this. -
The best album Biosphere never made. I hope I'm not insulting Locust by saying that, as this album truly stand on it's own, but yes, there's an obvious kinship between this and early Biosphere. Dark, cosmic ambient techno without ever being cold or distanced. No, this music is rather like a warm blanket while lying down by night, far out in nature and watching the majesty and magnitude of the cosmos. One of my favorite albums, out of many, from the golden era of ambient techno. -
