Great pressing and sound quality. My compliments to Secretely Canadian on this one.
The album is sublime of course. One of Molina's best and definitely my personal favourite. -

Sides B and D are quite off-center, for me, to the degree that they are almost unlistenable. Just emailed Secretly Canadian for a replacement copy. Lovely album though, and no surface noise at all! -
Not a great pressing. Excessive surface noise even after a thorough cleaning with my Hannl RCM. May improve some with repeated cleanings. -
I second ianandi - the pressing sounds fantastic, one of the best in my collection. sounds like he's singing in your living room. Maybe some inconsistent copies floating around there, but my pressing is perfect and the music is great.

This pressing sounds incredible! I think the issues people are having is with their systems and not the pressing. Might be my fav from JM.

Edited 6 years agoI've only ever had 4 records out of several hundred that literally wouldn't play through on my system without skipping no matter what I tried.... 3 of them have been Songs:Ohia or Magnolia Electric Company albums. I actually bought second copies of 2 of them, including this one - it happened again.
Horrible, horrible pressings, over and over, which is a shame because the music is great.
I'm done buying his albums on vinyl. -
my pressing sounds unfortunatly like its a 10 year old record that has been covered by dust... dissapointed...
