I do not agree, the sound reproduction is not good, the psychedelic is lost in the remastering.. The sound ingenieer obviously didn't know what this has been about and made it more "palatable" to his tastes.
I too have compared to an early pressing.

On top of which, my issue crackles now and again, and that is before and after washing, 1, 2, 3 times, the pressing simply is not good.

I cannot recommend it, if you want to understand what this band actually did, you do need the original.
In plain language: Why the heck remaster a masterpiece???

I've had the opportunity to compare this remastered edition side by side with the original 1973 UK pressing in superb condition ( https://www.discogs.sie.com/Can-Future-Days/release/330243 ), and I must say this reissue sounds great!

The remastering has been done very delicately and faithfully to the original and nothing has been damaged during the process. No over-processing or over-compression, no noticable artifacts of the modern times, just a clear sound with the original lively dynamics present. There are some slight level tweaks on the low and high ends of the spectrum, but it's all good. I wouldn't say the new one sounds better, but to my ear it surely does not sound worse. If I didn't happen to have the original issue on hand for direct comparison, I probably would not have noticed any changes at all. A well done release!

Absolutely stunning remaster. Not listened to the other recent remasters in detail yet, but Future Days has never sounded better. Everything comes through with so much clarity now, and the climax of Bel Air was stunning.
