Stomper, Mumbly, Fingertrips, Revpok, Squidge In The Fridge are instant classics, the rest is very good too.

Although the release of this record was underwhelming to some, you can't deny there are some bangers and gems on this LP. Stomper has a very nice catchy timbre to it and some excellent SH-101 noodling only a guy like Richard could pull off. Mumbly might not be up there with tracks like Tha, But it is real nice throwback to his SAW era and is really fun to listen to. Squidge In The Fridge is an instant 90's Techno classic and can easily be enjoyed by non-Aphex fans. Fingry is darker but still a very nice track, Revpok is dark as well but more experimental. Excellent track, really.

Edited 10 years agoFinally we can listen to it! Surprisingly good in my opinion. I was in the expectation of some curiosity like "Melodies From Mars" or "Analogue Bubblebath 5", but finally it's really better than this two. Some tracks are just excellent, and we could image what kind of hits they would have been if they were released in 1994. Like "Stomper 101mod Detunekik", "Mumbly", "Fingertrips", "Airflow" or "Squidge In The Fridge". It's more a similar Polygon Window records except for the two final tracks "Phlaps" and "Cunt", who are the typical sound developed with "Caustic Window" or "Universal Indicator"...
This record was made in the most creative period of RDJ. I think it's an important record to listen for every fan of his music.
Hope to see a repress some day...
