I bought this on vinyl, 5 years from release. One of those quite, brilliant folk albums that is bound to be a 'buried treasure' on someone crate digging find in 30 or 40 years but came and went without much notice on release. It deserves more notice. Kapoor's voice can convey regret and yearning so well. On a couple of songs it is just him and acoustic guitar. On the others, sympathetic backing of pedal steel, bass, percussion and organ- and just listen to the clarinet on 'Forever Gone'! The subject matter is the hopes, defeats and travails of working class lives. This is a beautiful LP.
