Is this really the band that created Battery,Lepper Messiah, Creeping Death, Blackened, Damage inc.and many more timeless thrash metal classics?
Reload is million light years far behind those songs.
This album is kind of hard, alternative rock wrapped in Bob Rock's fancy production.
It is hard for me to swallow songs like Carpe diem baby, Better than you, Attitude and many more, with cool cowboy accent from James Hetfield or total mainstream global hits like Fuel, Memory remains and Unforgiven II.
That just doesn't feel right for me even some songs on album are very good in all of their weirdness.
Low man lyrics and Fixxxer have some fine atmosphere that I find really interesting and above the rest of the album.
Post Justice Metallica is definitely not my Metallica but I can understand why lots of folks like this Load/Reload era.
