I’m assuming this is the same as the 1973 version. Same matrix in the deadwax and I can hear that this is definitely true stereo. It sounds incredible. I also have a mint MFSL stereo pressing that I may put just behind this, though the Japanese vinyl that was used for that pressing is quieter. I prefer my 2014 mono most of all, but for stereo, this is the best I’ve heard.

I have read that some people are suggesting the -2/-2 on this 1969 pressing is not as good as the 1973 pressing. It is the same cut so the only thing that will really determine the quality is the condition. This cut is the best sounding stereo version of Please Please Me around.

Great LP, I compared this version to my UK EMI Mono DMM version as well as (Beatles – 1962-1966, Red 2014 AAA) and Die Beatles is the best version. Although I like the Mono's for the mix I think the German Die Beatles has an edge on the sonics. The Mono DMM UK EMI is close which I did not expect and the 2014 AAA is not as good although it still is very nice. I think the Die Beatles really shines on its top end clarity with out being spikey and has a punchy base, it also has a great soundstage. I also compared this to a (Dr.Ebbetts needledrop CD of (Die Beatles) and it is identical in mix and quality although the Vinyl adds presence and air to the sound. The more versions I have the more I think vintage is the way to go with the Beatles the UK/German 70's represses sound so much better than the current available records.
