I’ve had several versions of Pep over the years and this is by far my favorite. The original mono mix is so much richer, fuller, more detailed & more articulate to my ears. It’s a whole different experience.
This particular pressing is among those that omit the nonsensical looping hidden track at the end of “A Day In the Life”, which to me is a welcome change. Appreciate the lads’ sense of humor though I do, I think the hidden track takes away from the emotional power of the LP’s conclusion. -
