Very quiet pressing. Guess this is fine if the vinyl is in perfect condition, otherwise pops and clicks will be prominent (as in my case).

Edited 4 months agoThis pressing is kinda bad. At first I thought it sounded pretty good, but after some comparision, and especially after listening with headphones, I can say that its very flat and mucky sounding. Sure, its still enjoyable to listen to, but what drags it down from 3 to 2 stars for me is the cut tracklist. I really miss Last Kiss and Homesick on this. If you are ok with the bassy remaster, get one of those, but otherwise I would guess that the original CD is the ultimate Disintegration experience.

Edited 9 months agoHonestly, I was afraid of these 89' pressings. All negative things I heard about them made me avoid any for years. This vinyl turned out to be one of the best listens of this album I ever had. It is true that this LP is quiet tho.
For me, there's nothing wrong with the mixing, album sounds mindblowing. What I noticed is that Robert's vocals are much more bought to the front, which makes this experience even more special.
If you prefer original pressings of your favourite albums - stay with it here as well. I would advise to find it in at least EX condition, for basically every scratch is audible. -
Had it. Awful pressing. Very low and opaque. Just recommend to find other pressings like the Argentinian.

Magnifique pressage au son chaud et équilibré. Sorti à la grande époque du age au cd cela relève du miracle. Ce qui sublime encore un peu plus cet album. Célébration...

Edited 2 years agoJust bought this version for a very nice price in overall VG+ condition. Compared to some remasters, this version sounds a little flat or lush, like one of the reviewers already mentioned. To my taste it lacks a little treble and detail, but I guess this is how they intended it to sound like. It will stay in my collection forever anyways :)
Edit: After cleaning the record it completely opened up and sounds a lot better now. -
Very warm and lush sound, very good pressing too. I can understand that some consider this their best album. A real pleasure to play. I like the Robert Smith remasters of 17 Seconds and Faith, but from what I read the digital remaster of Disintegration is a bit heavy on bass. Well, the original is still affordable and IMHO the best choice.

the textured sleeve has an all over but quite faint cobweb design
I was expecting it to have a more heavily embossed feel to it
but it still looks cool.
Does anyone know how many were pressed with this
sleeve design? -
