Sounds really good and energetic. Not audiophile, but the energy of the music is all there. I would personally go with this original pressing over the 2011 version, which is much bassier and warmer at the expense of dynamics and hihats. I can't see how the UK one could be much better, to me, this isn't clearly a copy tape -
This record sounds amazing. Sonically, one of the best sounding records I own. And of course a great group of songs!!

THE SMITHS - Louder Than Bombs (1987)

Creo y estoy seguro de que con Johnny Marr , el gran Morrissey Official , quien cumplió años hace 4 días, llegó a descubrir totalmente el estilo de música que siempre quiso hacer y viceversa.
Y como lo dije anteriormente, en tan sólo 5 años supieron crear la amalgama perfecta que los catapultó como la banda de culto que son hoy en día.
En cuanto al disco, fue el tercer álbum doble oficial recopilatorio que fue lanzado para el mercado americano por el sello "Sire" ya que un mes antes en Europa, se había lanzado el también genial "The World Won't Listen".
La idea entonces fue agrupar a todos los temas que no fueron publicados en USA pero que sí aparecían en los dos recopilatorios a anteriores lanzados en Europa.
Debido a esto, se puede explicar la falta de temas como "There's A Light That Never Goes Out" y "Bigmouth Strikes Again", entre otros que ya habían sido publicados en la obra maestra "The Queen Is Dead".
Lo interesante en este compilado es que podemos encontrar a los temas que fueron "Lado B" del single "Sheila Take A Bow" y que fueron tomadas de los ya conocidísimos Peel Sessions, hablo de los temas "Is It Really So Strange" y uno de mis tías favoritos de la banda, "Sweet And Tender Hooligan" grabados un 2 de diciembre de 1986.
También se puede encontrar una rareza como lo es "You Just Haven't Earned It Yet, Baby".
En resumen, 24 temas, muchos de ellos nunca publicados en otros compilados que todo fan de The Smiths debe tener en su colección.
