Ibrahim Ferrer “Buena Vista Social Club Presents”, CD este editado por World Circuit en el año 1999.
Aunque sonara ilógico, en ese momento, este sería el primer disco de estudio grabado como solista por Ferrer, todo esto bajo la producción de Ry Cooder y Nick Gold; lo cual sucedió en los Egrem Estudios.
Este trabajo recibió una nominación a Mejor Interpretación Latina Tropical Tradicional en los Premios Grammy Latinos del mismo año, tambien fue nominado a Álbum Tropical Tradicional , Mejor Álbum Diseñado , mientras que el propio Ferrer ganó el premio a Mejor Artista Nuevo.
En los Premios Billboard de la Música Latina en los años 2000, el álbum ganó el premio al Álbum Tropical del Año por un Artista Nuevo y fue nominado como Álbum Tropical del Año por un Artista Masculino.
Es que no era para menos, primero por el suceso de ser el primer álbum de Ferrer, y por la nomina de amigos musicales que lo acompañaron, entre los cuales podemos mencionar a Rubén González, Cachaito López, Amadito Valdés, Ibrahim Ferrer Jr , entre otros.
En la parte vocal fue acompañado por Pio Leyva, Puntillita, Teresa García Caturla, Omara Portuondo, y Lázaro Villa entre otros.
Además de otros músicos como Eliades Ochoa, Barbarito Torres, el Guajiro Mirabal, Aguaje Ramos, y Pedro Depestre.
