Does anybody have for sale only the box? I'd pay a sensibly priced one.

While not a sonic recreation of the original 1960's pressings, it's clear that the Abbey Road team wanted to represent the sound of 2009 Digital Remasters on vinyl. Each disc is digitally sourced from the 2009 24bit/44.1kHz masters (something that was d at the time). This means all the digital edits and mastering found on the streaming/CD versions are all here on the LPs.

If you grew-up hearing the old analogue pressings, the 2012 pressings sound night-and-day different to the previous UK catalogue pressings. They have different EQ choices, are cleaner sounding, more bass than what the original pressings did and Help! and Rubber Soul use the 1987 stereo mixes rather than the original 1965 ones. Keep this in mind when you read reviews from Beatlephiles damning these pressings.

The album covers are well printed and contain the original inserts and posters of Sgt. Pepper's and The White Album. The flip-back sleeves are missing for the UK 1st release covers (but would later included on The Beatles - The Beatles In Mono in 2014) and Let It Be is missing it's original box or "Get Back" book. So it's the LPs are more like the reissues than the 1st pressings for packaging.
Speaking of packaging, the 252-page hardback book included, written by Beatle expert Kevin Howlett, is fantastic.

Overall, the 2012 vinyl discs are well pressed, quiet and detailed sounding pressings. The first run European pressings had little to no quality control issues with them. Out of my entire set, I had a copy of Abbey Road that had some noise floor issues (but was returned for a clean replacement) and the copy of Sgt. Pepper's spindle hole was too tight (which a pencil fixed). It should also be noted that due to the huge roll out (at the beginning of the vinyl revival) were a lot of quality control reports during the first release of the US pressings (Rainbo Records.

If you do want that "original pressing" sound and are willing to invest the time online, there are ways of compiling a cheaper collection that sounds closer to the original UK stampers. There are a lot of options around the world of great sounding reissues and some of the original stampers stayed in production for many years, with the original cutting engineers recutting into the 1980s! Then there is always the option of spending top dollar on original UK pressings (which are near impossible to find in NM condition).

But if this box set or any of the 2012 discs are you're staring point, then these pressings are an affordable and easy to find way to enjoy the Beatles on vinyl.

The records in my European vinyl boxset don't have the (promotional) stickers on them.

Remastered using digital source ( used for CD's in 2009) ??? So, what is the purpose of pressing it on vinyl ?
Better to buy cd box then & it is also cheaper !!
If anything else, Mono Vinyl Box used real audio ( analogue ) master tapes - no cheating this time 'round !

I just got the vinyl version of this box set and it doesn't quite match the 2012 UK & Europe version listed here. First of all it contains the Anniversary remix of Sgt. Pepper rather than the normal stereo version. And With the Beatles has completely different numbers and etchings. Weird.
