This album is a MASTERPIECE, EVERY SINGLE TRACK IS A KILLER !!!
Roy Ayers produced this album one year after his last album with his own band "Roy Ayers Ubiquity". Edwin Birdsong and William Allen, who were in the band as well, co-produced this album.
This is one of the 3 best Roy Ayers productions, with "Vibrations" and "Everybody Loves The Sunshine", released one year earlier (1976).
Soul-Jazz at its very best. INCREDIBLE SOULFUL BANGER !!! -

Hello everyone! Where is the promo copy ? I have a copy but i found only the unofficial promo copy -
I am a huge R.Ayers fan, and have collected all of this 60s,70s and 80s albums (over 22 titles) and own this one too on vinyl & CD, but I find the vocals super hard to listen too and even irritating, is it just me ? not one of my go to R.Ayers work to be honest. -

The 180g 2008 reissue is just a digital sound source likely be from the CD, (com) pressed on vinyl thats why the label called it remastered!!!!!. The 1st early 00's reissue sounds much better.

99c album till the mid eighties. Massively overrated. If it wasn't for the likes of Daddy O (Stetsasonic) and 'Jazzy' Jeff Townes introducing Jazz breaks and samples to Hip Hop, albums like this would probably have remained obscure, even with the Ayers/Birdsong connection. 'Daylight' is nice though.

For me, I can't get enough of this album. Different songs have grown on me over time, and I'm always changing which one is my favorite. I find the dual female vocals mesmerizing and totally unique. This is a one off album which does not really sound like anything else I can think of. It's hard to go wrong when Roy Ayers and Edwin Birdsong have an imprint on a project.
