Welcome to the phenomenal striking power of McCoy compositions & his unique & spectacular lower octave left hand block chord comping over his right-hand clusters of notes aided by Coltrane’s infallible rhythm section & the bold phrasing of the world class saxophonist Joe Henderson.
One of Blue Note’s & the ‘60s essential jazz recordings.
