First record by one of the several bands who could claim (if they felt like it) to have originated the grunge impulse. This pre-Mudhoney/Pearl Jam quartet managed to balance their Stooges & metal influences pretty evenly, without having to resort to any Zeppelin quotes, which is a real plus. I think this is the only one of the band’s recs with Steve Turner on it, and it sounds mighty fine.
