Edited 8 months agoBest sounding version from my testing is German version. I had several other from Netherland, UK, and Yugoslavia. Germans always made best sounding ones. Amazing.

I found my copy for a good price at a vinyl fair and although my expectations weren't very high (this is punk after all), I have to it that it sounds very decent, crisp and not a single crack/pop.

There is some discussion on other websites (eg Steve Hoffmann music forum) indicating that this can be a well balanced pressing, some people are even of the opinion that it is a bargain rival for the original UK pressings.
My experience - albeit with a single copy - is that there is something compressed or muddy/crowded in the midrange. It's not what I would call a high sound quality pressing. My version appears to be in good shape, very lightly played, and I cleaned it with an Audio Desk LP cleaner.
The quest continues.
