One of the best Post Punk bands of the 80's ... this second album is very well pressed with a lot of range and dynamics. The Sound sounds awesome ... As usual and forever !

Edited 9 months agoBMG are reissuing this album on orange-colored vinyl on September 13, 2024! Looks like there's also going to be reissues of "Jeopardy" (white vinyl) and "All Fall Down" (blue vinyl).

Edit: looks like the street date was bumped to November 29, 2024. -
Edited one year agoIt's an incredible, magnificent album. “Winning” and “Silent air” are unforgettable songs, definitely worth listening to also on the AMAZING live versions from the IN THE HOTHOUSE album. Adrian Borland was a great songwriter, a superb voice, incredibly powerful and moving, and his band should have been as celebrated at the time as luckier 80s bands ( U2, Simple Miinds, Echo and the Bunnymen and The Cure) A band that is far too little known, which I much prefer to Joy Division to which it has often been compared!

I have this press and also one first press europe and . This UK press is the best 👍 very powerful and clear 🫡🫡🫡 the best album of the sound and probably the best post-punk/cold wave album, beautiful cover with miracle of Daniel with Lions 🦁

A classic album in the truest sense of the word. Adrian Borland was a triple threat: a fantastic guitarist, lyricist, and singer, all rolled into one. Songs like "Winning," " The Fact," "Skeletons," "The Fire," and "New Dark Age" are all prime examples of top tier post-punk, and that's half of the album right there. There's not a bad thing I could say about this album, besides that it's still relatively unknown. This is one of the most expensive single records that I've ever bought, but it was worth every penny.
