I bought this vinyl in mint condition. The quality of the sound is good but there is a significant amount of noise which ruins listening experience for me.
Even after cleaning with Pro-Ject VC-E there are loud clicks. And if this wet cleaning can not help it then I don't know what can. -

I don't know but I spent about the Seattle price here in Scottsdale, AZ and ...well for the money I was a bit disappointed. I love the feel of "extra vinyl (180 gm)" and IMHO it does make a difference in the sound, even if it is audio-psychosomatic (or if your lunatic audio-psychopathic, har, har a lil' DSOM humor) It sounds pretty damn good, except it is a little noisy. I agree that this has opened a door for many folks to own a copy on vinyl for those who were not around or simply played the record so much it wore out the grooves. Its a great addition to my PF records but I think the price is a bit too high. Its a masterpiece, and deserves its place in musical history even though EMI has decided rape and pillage .....

Of course it's an EMI cash in....but who really cares.
As mentioned - it gives more people the chance to own it on vinyl.
In my opinion - the remasters don't sound too bad - and i would be onboard a Momentary Lapse or Division Bell resissue as well.
How bout Pulse on BluRay - EMI? -
Edited 13 years agoObviously this an EMI cash in, but why? Who would buy something that has been pressed on 2xLP's many, many times. Why not 6xLP's so we HEAR the Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y? I'd buy that, but not a 14th 2xLP pressing, sorry big-corporate-music-conglomerates, not this time. The cd / dvd boxsets should be vinyl, just sayin, plastic is c-r-a-p.
