I have a low-budget audiophile set-up, and this record sounds unbelievably good on it. Etta James' voice is forward in the mix, and is incredibly life-like. So much that you can hear the studio mic crackle a bit when she hits those strong high notes in "At Last." And the band sounds pretty good too. I wouldn't be surprised if the Universal Fire of 2008 resulted in the loss of Etta James' Chess/Argo master tapes, and this was one of the last AAA productions of her best album. I paid $70/with shipping for mine in 2021, and I don't doubt this record will get far more expensive and collectable in the future (unless someone puts out an AAA 45rpm version of it).
