Cujo – Adventures In Foam

Ninja tune did not package this very well and it arrived with a bent cover. Also the album art is low resolution and blurry for some reason. I don't know what happened, but kind of a swing and miss from Ninja Tune here. Fortunately, the music sounds good.

Not sure why this and the last 3LP from 2013 both have blurry and low-resolution looking covers compared to older releases. Maybe that's the best Ninja Tune could do since Amon and them parted ways? Not sure. Thankfully that's my biggest gripe, otherwise discs look and play great. I do wish the cover card stock was thicker and sturdier. I believe I was extremely lucky for mine to arrive without seam splits and only a bumped corner.

Sounds really good. Shame about the non-gatefold sleeve. I wish these labels would realise that simply expanding the width of the spine doesn't make a single sleeve suitable, unless maybe the card is much, much thicker to compensate. Mine arrived, unsurprisingly, with a bent corner. Always the risk when you cram 3 discs into a single jacket. Ah well, they sent me a partial refund for it which was good of them.
Anyway, very good pressing. Goes to show that 180gram isn't all that necessary for a good quality pressing. Cool to finally have this on vinyl. Dunno where the 'First time on vinyl' ment comes from, though.

My copy is totally flat and sounds great, no issues except the thin card sleeve is a poor choice. I see the scalpers are already asking stupid prices, go get it direct from Ninja its £34.

It's great to have this in my collection. There are some warps here and there (including the terrible packaging), however the music sounds nice. Get it before it goes out of stock.
