I purchased this because originals (and official reissues) are soo expensive now and based on reviews here about how good this bootleg sounds.
I am really glad that I did because this does sound amazing. -
Edited 2 months agoIs this a gatefold? Or single sleeve. Any photos of the labels or back? I found a copy in a record store with different runout etching and can’t find on Discogs

Holy shit this sounds amazing; vivid, crisp, great separation and sense of space, and almost no surface noise. I've only heard mp3s of this album before, but this sounds better than my official Polysom "sourced from original tapes" Clube Da Esquina 2 record, for what that's worth.
Also pleasantly surprised that it came with poly lined inner sleeves. Did not expect a boot label to take that extra step when so many skimp out on it. Would have liked an insert with lyrics and credits for the many wonderful musicians who worked on the album, but for the price it's already an impressive release. -
Edited 3 months agoThis bootleg is how it should be done. Sturdy jacket, good printing quality, rice paper innersleeves.
Vinyl itself is dead flat and quiet. No pops, clicks or anything.
Soundwise: Ok in relation to normal reissues, very good in relation to other bootlegs I've heard. It does not sound like a very high quality source was used for this, which is logical for a bootleg. Dynamics on the other hand are quite good.
The major criticism I have is separation of the instruments and soundstage overall. It gives a very similar impression to me as an early stereo jazz record. Most of the music is hard panned to right and left with a pretty empty centre stage. Also depth could be better.
Take it with a grain of salt though, as I do not have an original to compare. The soundstage could very well be similar in the original as this is a 1972 record from Brazil. The fact that there was also a mono release back then might indicate that stereo was not that well established in the country.
Overall I am very pleased with this reissue, especially considering this is only 30$ for a 2LP record. A very worthy alternative to an original in my opinion. Good job Endless Hapiness. -
About as good as a bootleg gets. Nice separation. This appears to be the one if an original is out of the question

Turns out all the problems I had with this record was down to my amp having a channel blown. Sounds pretty good for a bootleg.

Sonically this is pretty damn good from what I can gather, it's at least a cheaper alternative to an official copy. I wouldn't recommend it over an official one but I have none to compare it too. Weirdly enough my copy's side C is mistakenly labeled with side B and the track titles are that of side B, though the music is right.
