Unfortunately I can confirm that this vinyl is rather noisy, also the piano sounds distorted. I always love having the original pressing over a remaster but I might make an exception here. -
I must be a very lucky guy. I have the US pressing and it's flat and quiet. But I've had problems with other releases like The Dreaming

I absolutely love Kate. Big fan since 1980's.
I purchased this cd in 2011.
I purchased the vinyl lp in 2022.
I still love the music.
The pressing is sub par.
This music is quiet.
The vinyl press distracts from the beautiful songs.
It's too noisy.
Hiss,pop,crackle. They are all here.
I hope my copy is an anomaly. -

I have both the US and UK pressings of this 2013 album, and the US pressing is terrible. I when this was first released, US buyers were reporting all kinds of problems. The safest course of action is to not buy the US pressing, even a sealed copy. Look for an EU pressing.

I have the Anti vinyl version of this, and it is a poor quality pressing. Non-fill throughout, so plenty of crackle to accompany the relatively quiet subtle music. Very disappointing! -

Edited 8 years agoMy copy is really noisy. Side A is the worst! Got little better after I did a good cleaning job, but still...
Although the mastering job is fantastic. The good thing is that came with a CD. Hope to get a UK pressing one day.
My copy has TML-S on Disc 1 (both sides) and TML-M on Disc 2 (Both sides). -

I would suggest getting the UK vinyl over the Anti pressing. It's far superior. I own both. The Anti is rather noisy. I can also recommend the 96kHz/24-bit high res files from http://www.katebush.com/shop/s or HDTracks. They're fantastic (and come with digital booklet).
