Copy #2276. Flat, quiet, separation excellent. I don't care for the new album artwork, but am happy to have the "extra" tracks on vinyl.
-
Edited 6 months agoThe thing is: if they want to put out a reissue of Betty they should do it right with the same tracklist as the Amp 2x10" version and without those two remixes, plus add Sam Hell as the closing track.
THAT would be worthy of something -
Edited 7 months agoWhere's the CD release of this already? I'm tired of buying overpriced and underwhelming expanded vinyl editions of albums.
-
Can't believe they swapped out one of the most iconic post hardcore covers for ... whatever this is... Never ceases to amaze me how often labels stubbornly fail to realize how much an album's cover art becomes a part of the album itself. This cheesy AI looking digital artwork on this repress is atrocious. The original artwork was perfect, can't believe they fumbled this so bad. Actually what am I talking about, I totally can believe it.
-
Surface noise, an obnoxious pressing defect through the last track on side B. Ugly packaging. The bonus tracks are good but there is nothing else positive to say.
-
One of the best sounding album of the 90s that not only needed a reissue but one up to par with that amazing production, and this failed miserably. The OG 10 just destroys this reissue (muddled, low volume, etc).

#438 Caveat emptor.
This was one of the infamous early presses and sure enough, the second LP was warped. If you are buying this from a seller, make sure you don't get an early copy. Luckily I took it to a local dewarper and it plays good as new now.
Sound quality wise even the CD packs more of a wallop than disc 1 which needs to be played at an absurdly high volume, let alone the 10 inch (which I also have and which sound amazing.) Bought it nevertheless since its one of my favourite albums of all time. -
#1339. Playing like a dream. No pops or clicks. Loud and crisp. Feel bad for anyone who got a crappy copy.
-
I A/B’d this to my 1994 10” and the 10” blows this out of the water. Glad to own this as it’s one of my favorite albums however, this will not be a player copy as I had hoped.

Edited 11 months agoi notice… no warp. i also don’t find it quiet. there’s a slight muddled sound, but i feel like this has always had that. i do get occasional pops and clicks despite being clean. i mostly just dislike the crappy alternate art and the lame colorway. the etching should have also had color to it imo because you can hardly even see it. overall, very nice release. 4.5/5 rounded up.
