I received a copy as a gift that came with two printed 8 1/2” x 11” papers which seem like promotional hype text or similar – anybody know more about these? Seems like a cool artifact: https://i.imgur.com/XYQnvO6.jpeg
As for the release itself, the records sound great though the cardboard jacket is shockingly flimsy. Mine came in a soft plastic outer sleeve which seems like it is part of the original package given how flimsy the jacket is. -
This would be one of my top ten desert island picks, Rave Jazz at its finest. A true classic. Along with Big Loada it represents some of the finest moments of 90's electronic music.

Decided to pick this up earlier this year. It's an astonishing pressing with remarkable bass, I mean SERIOUS bass, evident tape hiss (Jenkinson recorded most of his stuff on tape prior to around 2001/02 according to an interview) which only adds to the experience, almost un-Godly amounts of slam, punch, and spaciousness. Also got Ultravisitor on LP which I think is his "genius" album but this is a VERY GOOD runner-up.

Lovely bloke on eBay just sold me this gem on vinyl for a tenner. Squarepusher's best work and now that I finally own it on vinyl it's probably my favourite in my, albeit rather small collection (apart from Throbbing Pouch). Everything blends together so well on this album, the drum programming, the bass playing, the jazz elements, goddamn it's near impossible for me not to not start shaking my leg in time to the tracks on it. Love it.

Edited 11 years agoI just can say when we where kids we only have had about 10 CDRs or so and we listened to this album from dusk till dawn and I still love it today. I think Tom is one of the uniques musicians around. I always would recognize his stuff. His production skills are kind of unhuman, especially the drum programming. Not to mention his bass playing skills...
My favorites on this LP are 'Rustic Raver', 'Chin Hippy', 'Papalon', 'E8 Boogie', 'Fat Controller' ahh forget it one cant decide on this brilliant album :_)
Always a joy to my ears, mind and feet - one couldnt sit still when listening to this!
A d&b classic. -
one of mr jenkinson's less sought gems.. a score, if you can find a copy. a great cover to match the masterful content. more fluid and consistent than other releases like 'music is rotted one note', or 'maximum priest' - expect a slightly less turbulent ride than his other stuff.
