One of the most accessible albums on the Neon label. Less experimental than some of its stable mates. However saying that it is a joy from start to finish. Verging towards the poppier end of the Prog spectrum with of course that superb triple fold out sleeve by Keef

Edited one year agoUK 1971.
Hans Pokora's Record Collector Dreams 1001 masterpiece of vinyl music. Totally agree. Great songs mixed with progressive mellotron used a lot. -
Edited one month agoOne of the most overrated British prog albums (it is in fact more a kind of elaborated pop rock than prog rock). Nasal voice leads me to get tired of it very quick and that bloodless "no balls" approach surely doesn't help much. Since I've started to listen psych/prog rock in the late 70's, there was always some fame built around Spring album coming to life most probably because of it's master Keef's vivid cover art, tell-tale stories before internet/reissues and "surreal" praise from newly self proclaimed critics during the 90's which all led to forming of an mutual opinion of listeners who are listening the music by reading reviews, eventually giving a good oportunity for dealers to pump up the prices. It is not even an rarity at all, copies are always for sale online and at collector's fairs.

Hi man, your copy is a reissue and not remastered correctly, but I have an original copy on Néon, and the sound is not good like many productions on the Néon Label, Indian Summer had a same problem, Tonton Macoute, idem. Only in Cd is correct, my equipment for vinyl is top level; Krell,Sonic Frontier,JM Lab, Alexia+Omega+Linn Asaka (Vinyl ) .But when the original master ,or press are bad, nothing can help .....! Best regards.Pinckle.
