Purchased at concert and it’s the most quiet pressed record, filled with background noise. I just spun this after an original pressing of the Cars Heartbeat city that’s beat to shit and that sounds heaps better than this.
The most underwhelming record I own. -
Quiet record, the bass on Birds Of A Feather is L O U D but overall good pressing. I can't stop spinning it.

Great pressing! Minimal flaws or issues, smooth playing. My only gripe is how quiet it is, as I had to turn my speaker higher than usual to hear it. If you don't mind that, this is still a great pickup, and I don't think the volume should shift your opinion heavily :)

Music’s great. Album is very good. It is quiet and thus any defect pops, but I only heard 3 or 4 through the play through.

Edited 2 months agoIf I’m reading correctly there is multiple lacquer cut version right? The one cut from Jg/phd and the other one from Eric Boulanger ? Is there one better than the other ?

Edited one month agoI don't understand the complaints that much. It's mastered very well, but many have stated eco-vinyl is noisy and this record does have some subtle noise on side A, but it's not too bad and still sounds really good. It plays with minimal to no pops. Very quiet. Records make noise. It's what they do. So do all things in real life. The actual fidelity and mastering is out of this world and I consider this the definitive way to listen to this album imo. It's an absolutely stellar album anyway (which is an understatement). The second side (side B) shows no sign of sibilance or inner groove distortion when you get to the end of the record which is impressive for how clear and crisp it sounds from the beginning to the end. In other words, it plays perfectly. Also, unmentioned fun fact: There's a locked groove E-note drone at the end of side A. Just wanted to point that out.

Edited 3 months agoOnly record I have bought to date that was as filled with surface noise, pops and crackles as this.
There are too many issues with this vinyl to make it worth buying, which is a shame because the album itself is great. Firstly the eco vinyl and the process they use to press it results in significant surface noise. Secondly, they’ve crammed too much music onto each side of the vinyl, the album should be split over 2 discs (4 sides) but they’ve compressed it all onto 2 sides. The mastering is also very bad, vocals are muffled, stereo separation just isn’t there. Additionally, this is the quietest record I’ve heard. Normally this isn’t an issue because you can just turn the audio up on your amp / speakers. The low volume is a byproduct of them compressing so many minutes onto each side. But the issue is because it’s such a noisy record, increasing the volume increases all the surface noise. -
Edited 3 months agoNo pressing issues on my end here. Under certain lighting conditions, the vinyl definitely looked a bit rough - but I think that's just an artefact of the "eco vinyl".
Mastering is good, definitely cut a bit quiet though… No surface noise on my copy.
No major complaints here, the music is great of course.. -
Bought this vinyl at one of her concerts recently. Sounds incredible. You can really hear everything on this record unlike the able version online. Getting the isolated vocals record soon!

Edited 3 months agoThis is a really disapointing record… dull sound, came already heavily warped and scratched.. I`m about to give it back...
