This was the last release featuring the typical dry, bubbling sound from Dopplereffekt's two Dataphysix albums (that's the "Gesamtkunstwerk" album for the younger readers). It was followed by the debut releases of Japanese Telecom and Arpanet which sounded a lot more harsh and coarse. There has been nothing like this since Dopplereffekt/ Der Zyklus changed their sound around 2000 even though other acts, most notably on Clone Records, continued to use that sound aesthetic.

The two tracks here are even more minimal, unfinished and more like quick drafts than full tracks or even songs like the ones mentioned above, but they're quite nice for their riffs and the moods they transport.
