Check out Moonshine's United States of Ambience from 1994 (vol I and II) and 1995 (vol III) if you like this. Those were a HUGE influence on me, along with this. Alongside Big Audio Dynamite II, Bjork, Massive Attack, Portishead, and Stereo MCs that got me into electronic and DJing.

Needless to say, this masterpiece compilation and the 2nd one completely changed the landscape of electronic music. It would be quite fitting for a 3rd to be released sometime in the near future! Now would certainly be the time for it.

Edited 2 years agoDJ's- heads up on this 2022 reissue- while sounding good and clean, my copy is so quiet, it is barely tickling the meters on the mixer. Even played with max gain, it doesn't compete where my meters typically peak while playing records out. Ok on the home system, but I don't think that Hawtin track would cut it on a party system.

Edited 2 years agoWhy do labels continue to save a few euros (per copy) and not release deluxe editions?!
The release that someone ready to buy for a hundred euros could be published on 2-3 plates
Why do I need one LP record from 2022? If it is the original, then it is a historical artifact, a collector's item, but same LP from 2022... -

I’ve got 2 copies of this, neither of them have the matrix in the listing “WAP LP”. Nor do I see any mention of WAP LP on the record or jacket.
On mine, the runout says:
Matrix / Runout (Side A Runout Etching):
WARP LP - 6 A2 E.W
Matrix / Runout (Side B Runout Etching):
WARP LP - 6 B2 E/W
I will pictures. -
I adore this album. I'd just landed a job with HMV UK the month it came out so I managed to bag a copy of the LP which I now see goes for £80+ FFS! Still baffles me that it includes Richie Hawtin's Spiritual High tho It's a techno banger! WTF??!

My favorite album of all time, many tracks on here are my favorites from each artist (with some exceptions). If I only could ever give one album 6 stars, this would be it.
REPRESS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
