Edited 10 months agoAlthough there are some mistakes in the instrumental mixes and in the transfer of the original mix (the ending of "This World Over" and the first few seconds of "Washaway" are "swapped"), the stereo remix alone is worth the purchase of the whole package.
It cleans up the album substantially while retaining its "industrial" feel; it also removes the cross-fades, but it's a minor flaw in my view. -

I just received my copy from deepdiscount and there are NONE of the issues mentioned here. No two-second cuts on ANY track in ANY included format. The missing moments and edits mentioned are present. I can certainly live without a little swell and crossfading. Whew!?! -
A CLASSIC XTC album RUINED ...Another victim of sloppy authoring from the folks at Visual Data Media: the Surround stream cuts off the first 2 seconds of every song. This is a "newbie" mistake and of basically no Quality Control. Management should assume responsibility and do another pressing with the error corrected to replace the faulty discs; this is an unacceptable product. The authoring people will cost the artists quite a bit because there are TWO others Blu-Ray MCH releases with this same mistake; King Crimson's "Lark's Tongues in Aspic" and Steven Wilson's "The Harmony Codex", OUCH! I recommend returning your copies because if we let them do this to us they will keep giving us sub-par products. -
Loving the 5.1 mixes, really has bought out the fullness of an overlooked album. However, both the 5.1 and Dolby mixes cut off the start of both This World Over and Smalltown. The stereo mix is fine. Anyone else have this issue?
