    Blues & Soul magazine :

Drummer Harbans Srih puts his head above the parapet to deliver a solo 45 with his usual funky, fevered vision.

The much respected Detroit,US label Funk Night Records have picked this up and rightly so. ing Srih on ‘The Wireman’ is Krys Mach whose muscular sax adds the jazziness to Lenny Bignell’s wah wah wizzardry on guitar, that typifies that classic Shaft / Blaxploitation era.All glued together by Raydn Hunter’s sinewy bass and Srih’s light funky backbeat. It’s a peach of a cut that will no doubt have some longevity in Funk DJ’s hearts.

The flip side ‘Beyond The Cosmic Rays’ is a more dreamier, ethereal synth led affair leaving hazy vapour trails of soprano sax (courtesy of Soft Machine’s Theo Travis) merging interesting tonalities with Boris Hunka (Funka Burning Love) on vibraphone. It appears Srih is in a good space and good company pulling all the right funky threads.
