Edited 2 years agoThe correct translation of "Selling England By The Pound" into Spanish should have been "Vendiendo Inglaterra Por Libra", instead of the (again awfully shitty) "Vendiendo Inglaterra Por UNA Libra" which translates to "Selling England by ONE Pound". Argentine schools and instructors have always had terrible results teaching the language, which desperately calls for American and British teachers to save the language of Shakespeare in that far away foreign land. These terrible mistranslations were also the root cause of the generals' incorrect assumption that Britain would not engage in a war in 1982. There are bigger war criminals than the generals, and these were the schools and instructors that failed to teach the language properly. There is special place in Hell for those people.
