Shame that Forever Living Originals does not know how to press vinyls. Everytime i buy a Sault album on vinyl, sound is good but record is filled with issues. Usually marks and scratches that we hear when playing. I think i will buy the CDs edition from now on. Music is great of course. Sault is phenomenal !!!

Of the five outstanding LPs the prolific SAULT released this time around, this one is my favorite and here's why: Like the title suggests, the polyrhythmic sounds captured on EARTH represent the multicultural bounty of expression. The rhythm of the earth. SAULT has used these rhythms in some way with great success throughout their career, and here they present them in their purest form. Not only is there plenty of Black girl (and boy) magic, there are a couple of staggeringly beautiful, stop-dead-in-your-tracks ballads sung by Cleo Sol (I think?). It may not have the flash and radio-friendly panache of, say, 11, but as SAULT has proved time and time again, that is not the goal. EARTH is rich and undeniably riveting.
