Fantastic release for the 20th anniversary of Madonna's most criminally underrated album, one which is easily in my top 4 from her entire discography. These remixes are wonderfully mastered and the sound of this record is just absolutely tremendous - my walls are shaking from the punch these songs pack! Definitely worth picking up for anyone who enjoys the main album, these edits are well worth the listen and this release well worth the purchase! -
Brilliant collectors item. American Life is one of my favourite Madonna albums and the mixes on this are fab, and so is the packaging The record labels on my copy have a real yellowish tinge to them, is this normal? I would have expected them to be white. Looks like they have been sat in the sun!

I have all the 12” of most singles from American Life except the promos for Nobody Knows Me and Mother and Father which is quite pricey. I love the fact that these edits didn’t butcher the good parts. They sound heavy and like mixed as one track but just timed perfectly as they almost have the same BPM so it’s like a transition from one track to the next. One concern though Easy Ride seems mono.

This is such a fun record. It sounds absolutely incredible. So clear and you crank it up and it just booms. The record is really nice and heavy and the sleeve is beautifully put together. Yes, these are just edits and the full versions would have been nice, but I'm still really enjoying it anyways. It is a nice way to celebrate the original album 'American Life' 20th anniversary. -
35 Euros for a 12" that just contains a bunch of radio edits? I know why I haven't bought any Record Store Day releases in years, the whole thing is such a ridiculous money grabbing operation... -
Unfortunately these are just edits done by the people at Warner only recently.
They are not edited by the mixer or programmers who made them 20 years ago.
They have not been sitting in a vault and only now just released like ‘Previously Unreleased’ would lead consumers to believe.
If people enjoy this, I think that’s great! -
Sounds great and punchy as if it’s being played live at a DJ set. And the selection of remixes is absolutely PERFECT I usually don’t like the American Life era mixes but M has chosen eight amazing remixes for this special album -
Sounds great. I didn’t notice any surface noise. Record was nice and flat. This is my favorite Madonna album, I’m glad it’s getting some form of recognition. Happy to have this! -
American Life is by far Madonna’s worst album. These mixes at least make it listenable. I will say the vinyl sounds amazing. Def loving these mixes! -
At first I thought this is just another marketing trick for RSD - so many of those around. I have most of these remixes in their full versions on cd singles ( those !).
Just one listen though and I can’t believe how great they sound on vinyl.
Nothing beats Madonna remixes.
